RUN ROME THE MARATHON · 32ND EDITION
Running Rome means running inside 2,000 years of history. The course passes the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, St. Peter's Basilica, the Circus Maximus and the Lungotevere along the Tiber. Few marathons in the world put sport and history in the same kilometer.
The gun goes off around 8:30 AM on Sunday. March in Rome is the turn from winter into spring: highs between 57°F and 63°F, lows around 45°F and roughly a 25% chance of rain on any given day. Days get progressively sunnier and the temperature is comfortable for racing.
For the 32nd edition, we handle the logistics — you focus on crossing the finish line.
