An Espresso Explorer embodies our company’s and its founders’ approach. “Espresso” represents coffee/caffeine without any adulteration of milk or sugar, while “Explorer” refers to someone who is not a tourist but is experiencing a new place and culture with us, as a runner and marathoner.

True to our name, we offer trips that keep our travelers active, with the best coffee in each city to fuel their runs. Our trips are broadly divided into three travel styles: running, cycling, and walking/hiking. We offer both guided and self-guided trips around the world based on these travel styles. We are also appointed partners of some of the world’s renowned small group adventure travel companies, which are ideal for solo travelers who wish to explore destinations via less-traveled paths. The typical group sizes for these trips range from 8 to 15 travelers.

We believe that a true explorer is never alone, and surprisingly, most of our runners prefer traveling solo. However, we are more than happy to accommodate run clubs, friends, or couples. Our goal is to simplify your travel experience and minimize any logistical stress. Many solo travelers join our trips to benefit from our services as we handle all the logistics behind the scenes. Traveling solo may involve paying extra for a single room, but if you wish to save money by sharing a room, we can pair you with another solo traveler if someone is available to share a room on your trip. This is not guaranteed, and single rooms may not be available on some trips due to limited room availability

We customize trips for groups, families, and individuals seeking travel experiences related to running, cycling, and hiking. We do not offer other travel styles.

We have partnerships with most major hotel chains worldwide, ranging from luxury 5-star hotels to budget family hotels and special boutique accommodations similar to Airbnb.

Unlike our World Marathon Major and small group trips, which are confirmed at the time of booking, for our self-guided cycling and walking trips, we do not hold any inventory at accommodations. The process of verifying if we have space to accommodate your booking requires contacting each property individually to confirm your room. This process may take a few days. If an accommodation option is unavailable, we will discuss alternatives with you, including refunding your deposit if other options do not work for you. We do not process bookings without a deposit payment. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received our confirmation, as we are not liable for airline tickets and visa costs if these arrangements are made before your trip is confirmed.
