ZURICH ROCK 'N' ROLL MADRID MARATHON · 49TH EDITION
Madrid runs like a party. Over 30 stages and music points line the course, and around 47,000 runners from all over the world line up at the start. It is one of the largest road races in Europe. World Athletics Gold Label.
The route leaves Paseo de la Castellana and passes the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Cuatro Torres business district, Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace, Retiro Park, Casa de Campo, Madrid Río and the Prado Museum. April brings temperatures between 46°F and 66°F and 9 to 11 hours of daylight. Good conditions to run hard.
For the 49th edition, we handle the logistics — you focus on crossing the finish line.

Extend your trip
You ran 42 km. Now take Spain slowly, with every logistical detail handled by Espresso.
Barcelona Madrid to Barcelona trades race energy for Gaudí’s architecture. The Sagrada Família, Park Güell and the rippling facades of Casa Batlló and Casa Milà turn the city into an open-air museum. After the race, stretch your legs along Barceloneta with your feet in the Mediterranean sand, get lost in the Gothic Quarter and close the day with tapas and wine in El Born.
Valencia Home of paella and of one of the most futuristic pieces of architecture in Europe, the City of Arts and Sciences. Valencia combines beach, the gardens of the old Turia riverbed, now a 9 km park, and a charming historic center. A slower pace, good food and reliable sun to recover your legs.
Seville The most Andalusian side of Spain: live flamenco, the Real Alcázar, Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and Plaza de España. Narrow streets, orange trees in bloom and tapas on every corner.
Tours, sightseeing activities and trip extensions are booked separately and are not included in the package. Message us for pricing, availability and booking.
